“If you put your heart against the earth with me, in serving every creature, our Beloved will enter you from our sacred realm and we will be, we will be so happy.”
(Rumi)

I believe in the Power of the Universe. In my experience, once I take action with a big idea, it then begins to grow and take on a life and journey of its own. Once I commit and go all in, serendipity happens and it seems like I always find someone, something or some way that unexpectedly helps me along. Or, is it that the help finds me?  This quote best explains how for the last few decades this Power has helped me take action on my big ideas.

[Tweet “I believe in the Power of the Universe.”]

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless, splendid plans: That the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too…. Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”
(W.H. Murray)[1]

This “magic” brought four very different men, each on incredibly different life journeys, to work together, helping others create more meaningful, successful, and happy lives. Two men came from a football background, the other two served in the military. The Professor used education to transform himself from a poor country boy to a world-renowned soil scientist. The Homicide Detective also overcame poverty and spent forty-two years serving his community, and created Make-A-Wish along the way. The Actor, lost his sense of direction and himself, whilst pursuing a professional athletic career, but then rose like a phoenix, as he rediscovered the stage. The Businessman spent three decades climbing corporate ladders before finally reaching the ultimate position as Chairman of his own company, and then sold it all.

Each man was inspired on his own journey in a very different way: In his late 20’s, on a total whim, the Actor was cast in his first play and fell instantly in love with theatrical writing and performing. At the age of 51, the Businessman was struck by a dinner conversation with an old high school buddy. A complete stranger encouraged the Homicide Detective to begin an exciting career that he never could have dreamt of… at the age of 68 no less. For the Professor, his inspiration was found in a box of love letters he discovered when he was 75 years old.

Was it the inspiration that transformed the lives of these four men, or, rather was it their intention and bold commitment to turn their inspirations into actions? As Goethe tells us, “boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” And the moment one commits to action, “then providence moves too.” So perhaps ask yourself, was it coincidence that these men found each other late in life? Was it serendipitous that each man would write a book that he never could have dreamt of? Is it an accident that these five books were all individually written to inspire readers and help them personally grow more? For me, this is the Power of the Universe in action.

All four of these men are dedicated to “giving back.” In that dedication, and their commitment to it, their paths were destined to cross. Something unforeseen brought four very different men together: to help others create more meaningful, successful and happy lives. So it is, with great excitement that all four men will meet for the first time at the historic Palace Restaurant and Saloon in Prescott, Arizona.

On Sunday, March 26, a Businessman, a Professor, a Homicide Detective, and an Actor will walk into a bar to meet, entertain and inspire their readers further with personal stories and insights… and of course to sign their books too. We really hope you’ll join us.
