#5 – Herman Stone + Jason Cox

“Arise! Awake! And stop not until the goal is reached.”
(Swami Vivekananda[1])

Multiple Sclerosis is the mutual enemy that forged an unlikely bond between two men—men of different generations, working in different industries, who, without this enemy, may never have even met, but who have now partnered in an effort to find a cure.

Herman Stone is a bona fide movie theatre mogul, having spent more than 40 years as a film industry entrepreneur. He is the founder and current CEO of Stone Theatres, a big-hearted philanthropist, and a dedicated family man. He is also the founder of Discovery MS, an organization dedicated to raising funds for Multiple Sclerosis research.

Jason Cox is an Associate Vice President at Morgan Stanley, a board member of the J. Cox Family Foundation, and also a dedicated family man. He’s partnering with Herman at Discovery MS in their shared goal to eradicate Multiple Sclerosis.

I am very proud of Herman and Jason’s dedication to finding a cure for this horrible disease, and I was very impressed by each of them during our interview. So, as a Happy Living listener, I think you’re about to be impressed too!

[2] Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor.
