3 Transformational Powers Will Help You Defy Gravity

Inspiration into Action | Happy Living“It’s time to trust my instincts, close my eyes, and leap. It’s time to try defying gravity.”
(Rachel Tucker, Defying Gravity[1])

I believe we are all here on earth to become all we are capable of becoming with the gifts we are given so that we are able to give to others, lift them, and help them become all they are capable of becoming with the gifts they are given[2]. I wrote Turning Inspiration into Action to share the transformational Process I use to become all I am capable of becoming.

As I was working on the fourth or fifth edit, before we published the book, a burst of clarity struck me. I suddenly realized that creating the life of my dreams was not about decreasing the forces holding my life in place; such as procrastination, self-doubt, worry, cultural expectations, family and friends, etc. Conversely, I had been creating the life of my dreams by increasing my transformational powers.

Let me explain further with this excerpt from my book:

Bringing new and interesting ideas into my life keeps changing who I am. Changing who I am then changes what I want and what I do. That, in turn, changes what I am attracted to. The transformational Process keeps repeating, over and over.

It is a virtuous cycle paving the way to the life of my dreams.

I believe that it is my personal responsibility to continuously create a better me if I want a better life. That’s why I have made a firm commitment to continuous change and improvement by using the practice of reflection and the 3 Questions. I make a constant practice of paying attention to WHAT I am attracted to, which is my Pathway to Power. Filters help me activate the Power of Priority. Understanding WHY something’s important to me unleashes the Power of the Heart. When I figure out HOW I’ll bring the change into my life and begin doing the work, I invoke the Power of the Universe, which picks up the path with me and runs with it, yielding fresh energy, insights and connections to aid me at every turn. My commitment to embracing continuous transformation has taken me on a wild journey to my absolute best life.

THE POWER TO TRANSFORM

The Process is all about increasing your power to transform your life, not reducing the forces of Gravity holding it in place. It’s an important distinction. The forces of procrastination, self-doubt, worry, cultural expectations, family and friends, etc. exist. They are real forces. Many of them are out of your control. We are not going to waste any valuable energy trying to reduce their gravitational pull. Instead, we’ll be exploring how to apply the 3 Questions in your own life such that you unleash the 3 Powers to overwhelm the forces of Gravity. Think of it this way. Michael Jordan, perhaps the greatest basketball player in history, experienced precisely the same pull from Earth’s gravitational force as every other player. However, he trained so hard and became so powerful, he seemed to literally defy gravity as he made spectacular, high-flying plays. That’s what I want the Process to do for you, make it seem like you defy Gravity as you connect to the powers you need to conquer negativity, act on the best opportunities, and live the life of your dreams.[3]

This insight was enormously uplifting for me. The biggest force of gravity in my life has been worry. To be honest, I think I worry about everything. I’ve learned to acknowledge that about myself, but I no longer worry about how much I worry because I’m following Michael’s lead. My practice of continuous improvement, of using reflection and the 3 Questions, helps me tap into three incredible powers that move my life forward. These powers make it seems like I defy the forces of gravity trying to hold my life in place. And they will do the same for you!
