Is Your Mom Paleo?

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
(Marcel Proust)

I recently attended the Paleo f(x) Conference in Austin, Texas and it was a fantastic experience. I connected with interesting and smart people, discovered innovative and healthy products, and learned a lot about ancestral wellness.

Paleo (short for Paleolithic) most commonly refers to a diet centered on food that humans were evolved to eat in order to help treat, prevent, and hopefully eradicate chronic disease1. During the conference I learned that being Paleo is much more than adhering to a specific diet: it is a growing movement of individuals who are deeply committed to optimal health.

Sunday is Mother’s Day… and there are more Paleo moms today than any time in history!

After meeting so many great vendors at Paleo f(x), I realized my mom would love the products they offered! So, instead of sending her the usual bouquet of flowers for Mother’s Day, I mailed her a bunch of Paleo goodies. In the spirit of Mother’s Day, we want to ask you one question…

Is Your Mom Paleo?

If you don’t know for sure, the ten questions below can help you find out! To celebrate Paleo Moms everywhere, we have partnered with some awesome companies who are offering special discounts to Happy Living readers and their mothers.

1) Does she love Paleo Pizza?

Paleo Pizza is a healthy, convenient, and real fast food that the entire family loves. In 10 minutes, you have an appetizer or complete meal that even picky eaters find delicious.

6) Does she sip on bone broth?

It’s likely that your grandmother sipped on bone broth for its healing properties. According to some experts, bone broth promotes gut health, helps strengthen bones, and brightens skin. While there haven’t been many studies to prove these claims, it is a healthy comfort food that Paleo moms love.

7) Does she eat crickets?

Paleo moms know that crickets are the new kale. Your mom is Paleo if she eats Exo Protein Bars – tasty and convenient bars that are incredibly high in top-quality protein. If you wonder why your mom is eating insects, it’s because crickets are 20x more efficient to raise for protein than cattle.

Paleo moms love the Frugal Paleo Cookbook by Popular Paleo blogger Ciarra Hannah because it saves time and money while also restoring sanity. The recipes are easy to follow, affordable, and delicious!

9) Does she satisfy her sweet tooth with Nikki’s Coconut Butter?

Nikki’s Coconut Butter is a healthy dessert-like treat that tastes amazing, but won’t ruin your healthy diet. Indulging in a spoonful straight from the jar provides Paleo Moms with long-lasting energy, and since it’s rich in healthy fats, a little goes a long way.

You know your mom is Paleo if she snagged one of the premiere early bird tickets to Paleo f(x) 2016 on Friday, May 27 to Sunday, May 29, 2016! While the sale has ended, regular tickets will be available later this year. We plan to attend and I hope to see you there… why don’t you bring your mother along?
